Max Lipsitz headshot

Max joined L&M in 2013. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®. Max is an Investment Advisor Representative with Securities America Advisors, Inc. and holds his Series 7 & 66 licenses, as well as his life & long-term care insurance licenses.

Max is part of the third generation of Lipsitz’s at L&M, a firm which his grandfather, Russ, founded in 1972. Max’s father, Gregg, joined L&M in 1980 and proudly led L&M for many years before passing away in 2017. Now, Max and his brother Joseph share this responsibility, with guidance from many of their wonderful colleagues.

At L&M, Max helps clients make smart financial decisions, at any stage: whether just beginning to accumulate assets, planning for retirement, or creating and implementing post-retirement strategies.

Max has served as a mentor through Penn State’s Smeal College of Business, he is currently a member of Securities America’s Branch Managers Advisory Council, and he is also a member of the Community Ambassadors Council for FeedMore WNY (formerly the Food Bank of WNY).


Max graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Finance. While at Penn State, Max was a 2-time Academic All-American volleyball player, and in 2008 Max’s team won a National Championship – ask to see his championship ring!

  • Max and his wife Blair, combine for 13-feet of height.
  • Max and Blair combine for 5 NCAA National Championships (Max only has 1).
  • Before settling down in the Buffalo area, Max and Blair lived in Switzerland, Italy, France and Puerto Rico playing professional volleyball.
  • When not at work, Max enjoys cooking, spending time with his friends & family, and traveling.
